Why am I here? What is my Purpose?
Out of all the universe, Why am I here? Have you ever asked yourself this question?
Well, if you don’t know Jesus you may have a hard time answering it. If you don’t know God you may think we were formed from a big bang or out of a blob of goo. It is hard to answer. However, if you trust God and know Jesus it becomes more clear.
God created you in your mother’s womb.
Psalm 139:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
Psalm 139:13 For you created may inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
You are designed for a purpose on this earth.
Ephesians 2 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
The purpose is to have a personal relationship with Jesus and to spread the Good News about him to others and so we can spend eternity in Heaven with Him our heavenly Father. God created the universe, the earth, and you.
Genesis 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Amazing to think that the God who created the universe designed us in His image, yet unique in our own way to fulfill his purpose.
Genesis 27 So God created mankind in his own image, I the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
There are days when you may think why am I here. What is my purpose in life? You may feel lost as you transition from one season in your life to the other. Sometimes Satan will tell you you have no purpose. You are useless. First of all those are lies. Lies from the devil. He would love to have you sit and think you are useless and worth nothing. Don’t listen to those lies. Replace them with the truth from the word of God.
If you don’t know Jesus and want to… say this prayer to God and you will have a personal relationship with Jesus and spend eternity with the God who created you in heaven. It will be the best decision you will ever make.
Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins; I need your forgiveness.
I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin.
You said in the bible that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved. I confess Jesus as my Lord with my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, I am saved. Amen.
Through his word and prayer He will show you how you can be a blessing to others and show God’s love to the world. We show people about Jesus by being a light to others and loving one another.
There are so many ways to share God’s love with others in our everyday lives. There is always someone we can bless. It could be in your marriage, parenting, employment, friends, and even strangers. It may be a smile, a simple gesture, a kind word, fulfilling a need, or serving others. The other amazing thing is how God provides people in your lives to bless you too. There are multiple times I can say that God has blessed me through people and I am like in awe. I don’t know why or how but he provides in ways you would not imagine.
So why am I here? When you start asking that get back into God’s word and prayer for direction. He will guide you through the Holy Spirit with peace in the direction you should go. He will be with you on the path. He will provide for your needs along the way. He is forever faithful. Trust in Him and wherever life takes you, you know you are not alone.
Life is a journey. Why are we here? To fulfill the purpose God gave us to be a blessing to others and a light to Jesus. To love one another and then to have a personal relationship with Him for eternity.
Once you understand this purpose and destiny you have a peace beyond all understanding. Whatever the world is doing, you know you will ultimately be with Jesus and your brothers and sisters in Christ in Heaven. You have a joy for Jesus that shines. You have a faith to get you through and strength to accomplish more than you can imagine. Now be that light to the world and fulfill your purpose!
